Welcome To Clippity-Clop’s

Draft Horses

Merlin and Clippity-Clop's Carnation

The photo to the right was taken in May of 1991, and shows me with my first Clydesdale foal, Clippity-Clop’s Carnation.   She was nine days old at the time of this photo.

As I mentioned on my home page I got officially started with heavies in 1986 when Mom bought a pair of Percheron geldings.  As with the Shorthorns, my draft horse numbers over the years have been quite low.

Despite that, I sure enjoy learning more about conformation, draft horse history, meeting other draft horse enthusiasts, and so many other areas of the draft horse business.  If we happen to meet up at a show somewhere, please take the time to stop me for a visit - I’d really enjoy it.

Eddie Arnold said in a letter one time that improving livestock is one of the most interesting things there is.   He was right, and I'm looking forward to some interesting years with draft horses in the future.
